Philips Arena Senior Vice President and General Manager also Recognized as Nominee for Facility Executive of the Year

ATLANTA, GA -- Philips Arena closes out 2013 with high honors as one of the top 5 venues in the country. This is the seventh time in eight years that Philips Arena has been recognized as one of the top 5 venues in the United States based on ticket sales, making it the only other venue besides Madison Square Garden to accomplish such distinction. Pollstar Magazine, a leading entertainment industry publication, ranked Philips Arena No. 4 in the United States with more than 500,000 tickets sold throughout the year.

Not only did Philips Arena host many of the top ranked tours of 2013, such as Bon Jovi, P!nk, Justin Bieber, Fleetwood Mac, Taylor Swift and Justin Timberlake, but the Arena also recorded the highest number of sold-out shows in one year with 21.

“Consistently ranking amongst the industry’s leading venues in the country is gratifying,” said Trey Feazell, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Philips Arena. “It is because of the commitment of our staff, our dedicated fans across the Southeast region, and our ability to creatively partner with the world’s most talented artists, agents and promoters to enhance the experience, that we have the privilege of sharing superior live entertainment show after show.”

Additionally, Trey Feazell, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Philips Arena, has been nominated for Pollstar’s Facility Executive of the Year. The nominating committee is comprised of leaders within the entertainment industry, including arena managers, artists, artist managers, agents and promoters from around the world. The winner of this prestigious award will be announced on February 21 at the 25th Annual Pollstar Concert Industry Awards at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee.

Upcoming events for Philips Arena in 2014 that have been announced include Kings of Leon (February 5), Demi Lovato (February 21), The Eagles (February 24), Imagine Dragons (February 26), George Strait (March 22), Miley Cyrus (March 25), Lady Gaga (May 6), Cher (May 12) and Katy Perry (June 28).
