PHOENIX, AZ – The Harlem Globetrotters will reward an Atlanta Hawks season ticket holder who miraculously found a way to get a basketball stuck between the rim and the backboard (see below) on a shot taken from half court during a promotion on Jan. 11th.

“Kevin the Hawks fan” will receive four tickets to see the Globetrotters and a private meet and greet with the team at Philips Arena on March 16 for accomplishing the rare feat once. If he can repeat the shot with the same result, the Globetrotters will extend Kevin a one-year contract to tour with the team around the world.

“In my 33 years playing and coaching with the Harlem Globetrotters, I have never seen anyone get a basketball stuck like that,” said Sweet Lou Dunbar, Globetrotter Coach and Director of Player Personnel “Sweet” Lou Dunbar. “If Kevin can repeat that shot, I would be happy to welcome him to the team.”

The Globetrotters have invited Kevin to take the shot on the Hawks court when the Globetrotters play at Philips Arena on Saturday, March 16 at 1 p.m.
